The Tele Counsellor will be responsible for engaging with prospective students and parents through telephonic communication, understanding their academic needs, providing accurate information about courses and services, and guiding them through the admission process. The role requires strong communication skills, student-centric counselling, and follow-up to ensure enrolment conversion while maintaining a professional and empathetic approach.
Key Responsibilities
Make outbound and attend inbound calls to prospective students and parents.
Counsel students regarding courses, batches, fee structure, eligibility, and admission process.
Understand student requirements and recommend suitable programs.
Maintain accurate records of calls, follow-ups, and student details in CRM/ERP systems.
Follow up with leads generated through marketing campaigns, walk-ins, and referrals.
Address basic student and parent queries professionally and promptly.
Coordinate with academic and operations teams for seamless admission support.
Achieve individual and team targets related to enquiries, conversions, and admissions.
Ensure adherence to counselling scripts, quality standards, and ethical sales practices.
Provide feedback to the management regarding student concerns and market trends.
Required Skills & Competencies
Excellent verbal communication skills (Hindi & English).
Strong interpersonal and counselling skills.
Educational Qualifications
Minimum
Graduate
(any discipline).
Background in tele-calling, tele-sales, tele-counselling will be having an added advantage
Experience
1-4 years of experience in tele-counselling, inside sales, or education counselling preferred.
Freshers with strong communication skills may also be considered.
