Job Description

The Telecaller will be a key member of our lead generation team, responsible for identifying and qualifying potential clients for our solar EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) services. This role involves making outbound calls, educating potential customers about the benefits of solar energy, and scheduling appointments for our sales team. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with a passion for renewable energy and a drive to meet and exceed targets.

Core Roles and Responsibilities



Make outbound calls to a database of residential, commercial, and industrial prospects. Clearly and confidently explain the company's solar products and EPC services. Engage prospects in conversations to understand their energy needs, electricity consumption patterns, and property details (e.g., roof type, available space). Qualify leads based on pre-defined criteria (e.g., electricity bill amount, property ownership, interest level). Identify and nurture potential clients who are a good fit for solar installation. Schedule site surveys and appointments for the field sales team with qualified leads. Coordinate with the sales team to ensure a smooth handover of leads and appointments. Confirm appointments with potential clients prior to the scheduled date. Educate prospects on the financial and environmental benefits of solar energy, including government subsidies, net metering, and potential savings. Answer basic questions about solar technology and the installation process. Diligently follow up with potential leads who have shown interest but are not yet ready to commit to an appointment. Maintain an accurate and up-to-date record of all calls and lead interactions in the company's CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software. Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to the team leader. Provide feedback to the marketing and sales teams on lead quality and market response.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)



Minimum number of calls made per day. Percentage of calls that result in a qualified lead. Number of confirmed appointments scheduled for the sales team per week/month. Percentage of your leads that result in a closed sale by the sales team.

Qualifications and Skills



Proven experience as a telecaller or in a similar sales/customer service role. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong persuasive and negotiation abilities. Ability to understand and explain technical concepts in simple terms. Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office. A positive attitude and the ability to handle rejection gracefully. A genuine interest in the renewable energy sector is a significant plus.
