Job Description

We are looking for a Tekla Erector with 2-3 years of experience in structural steel erection planning and coordination using Tekla Structures. The candidate should have a solid understanding of AISC and OSHA standards and prior experience handling US, UK, and Canadian projects. The role involves preparing erection drawings, coordinating with detailing teams, and ensuring smooth on-site steel assembly.

Key Responsibilities

Create and manage erection drawings and models using Tekla Structures.

Plan erection sequences and ensure proper alignment with fabrication and site requirements.

Coordinate with engineers, modelers, and project managers to resolve design and field issues.

Review structural drawings and ensure compliance with AISC, OSHA, and client-specific standards.

Identify potential erection conflicts or issues and provide workable solutions.

Prepare and maintain lifting, bolting, and erection-related data and reports.

Communicate with on-site erection teams to ensure drawings and models are executed correctly.

Ensure all safety, quality, and erection procedures meet international project standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or related field.

2 to 3 years of experience in steel erection modeling and coordination using Tekla Structures.

Familiarity with AISC and OSHA standards.

Experience working on US, UK, or Canadian structural projects preferred.

Understanding of erection sequences, bolted and welded connections, and site procedures.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Good communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with multiple disciplines.

Preferred Attributes

Basic knowledge of fabrication and detailing processes.

Experience handling RFIs, design coordination, and on-site issue resolution.

Familiarity with 3D coordination tools or BIM workflows.

Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
