Description:
CTG is seeking a Tech/System Core Support Analyst to provide comprehensive technical support and system administration for core healthcare IT systems. This role ensures the stability, reliability, and optimal performance of critical applications and infrastructure that support clinical, financial, and operational workflows. The ideal candidate combines hands-on technical troubleshooting with knowledge of healthcare IT systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities
System Support & Administration
Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for core healthcare IT systems, applications, and infrastructure.
Troubleshoot system issues, including application errors, performance degradation, and configuration problems.
Monitor system performance, alerts, and logs to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
Assist with patching, upgrades, and maintenance of core systems.
Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, support procedures, and issue resolution steps.
Incident & Problem Management
Respond promptly to system incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to clinical and business operations.
Investigate root causes, provide timely resolutions, and escalate complex issues to appropriate teams.
Track, manage, and resolve support tickets using ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy, Jira).
Participate in post-incident reviews to identify improvements and prevent recurrence.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Support
Collaborate with internal IT teams, vendors, and clinical/business stakeholders to implement solutions and resolve issues.
Support system integrations and interfaces, working with application and interface teams as needed.
Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users and leadership.
Compliance & Security
Ensure support practices align with healthcare regulations, HIPAA, and internal IT policies.
Follow security protocols for access, authentication, and data protection.
Qualifications
Required
2-5 years of experience supporting enterprise IT systems, preferably in a healthcare environment.
Knowledge of core healthcare IT applications and infrastructure components (EHR/EMR, patient accounting, scheduling, network services).
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with ITSM tools and ticket management processes.
Understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance standards (HIPAA, security policies).
Preferred
Experience with Cerner, Epic, Meditech, or other EHR systems.
Basic knowledge of database management, server administration, or interface operations.
Experience supporting cross-functional teams and multi-system workflows.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $110,000 to $130,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
