Summary: Azure App Service Plan Administrator to manage, monitor, and optimize Azure App Service Plans. This role will ensure efficient resource allocation, scalability, and cost control for web applications and APIs running on Azure App Services. Primary Skill : o o Azure App Service Plan Management: Provisioning, scaling, and capacity planning of App Service Plans. o o Azure App Services Administration: Managing web apps, APIs, deployment slots, and application settings. o API Integration Knowledge: Understanding REST/SOAP APIs, authentication, and data formats (JSON, XML). Key Responsibilities: o Administer and monitor Azure App Service Plans, including scaling, sizing, and capacity planning. o Manage deployment slots and application settings within App Services tied to App Service Plans. o Optimize resource utilization and manage cost-effectiveness across multiple App Service Plans. o Collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to support web app deployments and troubleshoot performance issues. o Configure autoscaling rules, health monitoring, and alerts to maintain availability and performance. o Implement security best practices, including SSL bindings, authentication/authorization settings, and network restrictions (IP filtering, service endpoints). o Maintain documentation for App Service Plan configurations, standards, and operational procedures. o Support disaster recovery planning and backup strategies for App Services. o Assist with migration and upgrade projects related to Azure App Services and App Service Plans. o Monitor service health via Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and other logging tools. o Automate management tasks using Azure CLI, PowerShell, or ARM templates. Technical Experience: o o Hands-on experience managing Azure App Service Plans, including provisioning, scaling (manual and autoscale), and capacity planning. o Proficient in configuring and managing Azure App Services (web apps, APIs, mobile backends) deployed on App Service Plans. o Experience with deployment slots, traffic routing, and application settings management. o Strong knowledge of Azure networking concepts, including VNet integration, service endpoints, and IP restrictions related to App Services. o Skilled in monitoring application health and performance using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics. o Experience automating management and deployment tasks using Azure CLI, PowerShell, and ARM templates or Bicep. o Knowledge of security best practices in Azure App Services, including SSL/TLS configuration, authentication/authorization mechanisms (Azure AD, Managed Identities), and firewall settings. o Familiarity with Azure DevOps or other CI/CD pipelines to support app deployment and infrastructure automation. o Experience troubleshooting App Service Plan performance issues, scaling challenges, and deployment failures. o Understanding of cost management and optimization strategies for Azure App Service Plans. o Basic knowledge of containerized application deployment and integration with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) is a plus. Professional Experience: o Minimum of XX years or more of experience in a similar role. o Proven experience with middleware design . o Familiar with a variety of operating systems and platforms. Education Qualification: o B.E/B Tech/MCA or above. Additional Information: o The candidate should have a minimum of XX years and more of experience o managing Azure App Service Plans and Azure App Services. o Strong understanding of Azure infrastructure, networking, and security concepts. o Experience with scaling strategies (manual and autoscale) for App Service Plans. o Knowledge of deployment processes, including slots and configuration management. o Familiarity with Azure monitoring tools like Azure Monitor and Application Insights. o Proficient in scripting/automation using Azure CLI, PowerShell, or ARM templates. o Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ-104 (Azure Administrator Associate) or AZ-204 (Azure Developer Associate). o Experience with DevOps practices and tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions). o Familiarity with containerized applications and integration with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). o Knowledge of security and compliance standards relevant to cloud hosting. o Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills. o Good problem-solving skills. o Strong interpersonal and communication skills. o Ability to work in a team and meet deadlines. o Certification is a plus. o A 15 years full time education is required. o This position is based at our Kolkata office
