Create and implement Requests for Change (RFC) and update knowledge base articles to support effective troubleshooting. Summary: We are looking for an experienced VMware NSX Data Center Engineer to design, implement, and maintain network virtualization and security solutions in a modern data center environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with VMware NSX-T/NSX-V, software-defined networking, and data center virtualization technologies. This role involves ensuring high availability, security, and performance of virtualized network infrastructure across enterprise environments. Roles & Responsibilities: o Manage VMware NSX solutions within enterprise data centers. o Implement network virtualization, micro-segmentation, and software-defined security policies. o Configure and maintain NSX controllers, edge services, logical switches, routers, and firewalls. o Integrate NSX with vSphere, vCenter, and other virtualization platforms. o Monitor and troubleshoot NSX network performance, connectivity, and security issues. o Collaborate with IT infrastructure, storage, and cloud teams for seamless integration. o Conduct upgrades, patches, and lifecycle management of NSX environments. o Develop and maintain detailed documentation of NSX architecture, designs, and operational procedures. o Provide technical guidance and support for NSX-related issues and escalations. Professional and Technical Skills: o Hands-on experience with VMware NSX-T / NSX-V and associated tools. o Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, and firewalls. o Experience with micro-segmentation, distributed firewall, and load balancing in NSX environments. o Familiarity with vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi host networking. o Knowledge of automation and scripting (PowerCLI, Python) for NSX management and troubleshooting. o Understanding of data center technologies, including storage, compute, and cloud integration. o Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Preferred Certifications: o VMware Certified Professional - Network Virtualization (VCP-NV) o VMware NSX-T Data Center Specialist / Advanced Professional (VCAP-NV) o VMware Certified Advanced Professional - Network Virtualization Deployment (VCAP-NV Deploy) o Relevant networking certifications (CCNP,) for advanced networking knowledge o Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure) for hybrid cloud NSX deployments Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Network VMware - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
