To be successful as a Technology Architect in Automation you have proven advanced education in information technology, computer science or equivalent. We believe you have a minimum of 7 years of experience in Process Automation Architecture where you have had proven responsibility stretching across multiple products and coexisting with legacy in the Technology Landscape. You have worked with Open Source and automation in delivering software. In addition, we also believe you have a deep understanding in Enterprise Architecture and how to keep a technology architecture together across a Product Area in the Technology landscape within in the retail business and how to modernize its existing legacy.

Your responsibilities

As a Technology Architect, you will develop the technology architecture landscape across IKEA and be part of setting the course with sound engineering/architecture through principles and standards that enable guidance for teams. By influencing decisions across multiple levels, you
make sure to set and drive the future architecture across both legacy and digital products (at scale). Your personality allows you to balance a common purpose amongst a diverse set of stakeholders to ensure reaching both short- and long-term goals.

In this role, you are:
  • Responsible for driving and developing the Automation architecture across the process,
Systems, and landscapes. And support the implementation of technical solutions, providing
technical leadership, and long-range planning to align technology to business objectives
ensuring the best fit within the larger IKEA ecosystem.
  • Responsible for defining the future Automation architecture direction for the products and their
respective capabilities.
  • Responsible for defining the information flow between products and legacy within an area and
across the landscape
  • Resolve architecture topics in significant landscape changes affecting the sub-domain
  • Provide the architecture perspective on prioritizations in a sub-domain context, its
consequences and impact to reach the Sub-domain strategies and outcomes
  • Drive and develop to the architecture roadmap view for the sub-domain as well as drive the
execution
  • Develop the Enterprise Architecture practices, and architecture guardrails used in our product
teams along with being a champion of innovation and engineering excellence culture
  • Document and communicate architectural vision, technical strategies, enterprise solutions,
critical decisions, and trade-offs to gain buy-in
  • You participate in acquisition activities including technical guidance and assessments from a
technology landscape perspective
  • Good knowledge of standing up an Insights platform to enable personalization and measure
the efficiency of content performance.

You are experienced with
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML):
o Deep understanding of AI and ML concepts.
o Knowledge of various machine learning algorithms and models.
o Experience in developing and deploying machine learning solutions.

Automation Frameworks:
o Proficiency in designing and implementing automation frameworks for various processes.
o Experience with robotic process automation (RPA) tools.
o Expertise in automation frameworks for end-to-end process automation.
o Knowledge of RPA tools like UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism.

Programming Languages:
o Strong programming skills in languages like Python, Java, or R for AI and automation
development.
o Scripting skills for automation tasks. Natural Language Processing (NLP):
o Understanding of NLP concepts for processing and analyzing human language data.

Computer Vision:
o Knowledge of computer vision for interpreting and making decisions based on visual data.

Data Engineering:
o Skills in data engineering for handling and processing large datasets.
o Familiarity with data integration and transformation.

Algorithm Design:
o Ability to design and optimize algorithms for AI and automation tasks.

Cloud Computing:
o Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for scalable AI and automation solutions.
o Knowledge of cloud-based AI services.

Big Data Technologies:
o I am familiar with big data technologies such as Apache Spark for processing and analyzing large datasets.

Integration and APIs:
o Skills in integrating AI and automation solutions with existing systems through APIs (Application Programming Interfaces).

Ethical AI:
o Awareness of ethical considerations in AI development and deployment.

Security and Compliance:
o Understanding of security best practices for AI and automation solutions.
o Knowledge of compliance standards related to AI and data privacy.

Project Management:
o Project management skills to plan and execute AI and automation projects effectively.

Communication and Collaboration:
o Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
o Ability to explain complex AI and automation concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Continuous Learning:
o A commitment to staying updated with the rapidly evolving fields of AI and automation
