We are seeking a highly skilled Technologist, ASIC Development Engineering to join our innovative team in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will be at the forefront of developing and validating cutting-edge Application-Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs) for next-generation storage products. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the quality and performance of our storage controllers throughout the development lifecycle.
Lead the validation of ASICs for storage controllers in both pre-silicon and post-silicon phases
Develop and implement comprehensive validation plans for new ASIC designs
Create and maintain validation firmware using C/C++ for various environments, including FPGA and simulators
Perform SOC bring-up, feature validation, and debugging of ASICs and storage drives
Conduct failure analysis to identify root causes of issues in tests or products
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of ASICs into storage products
Participate in customer meetings to understand validation strategies and requirements
Develop and execute test cases based on customer scenarios and product specifications
Provide technical support for production and assist in resolving field issues
Generate and present validation status reports to project and program managers
Contribute to the continuous improvement of validation processes and methodologies
Qualifications
BS/MS degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
12-17 years of experience in ASIC validation and debugging
Proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded systems and Python for test automation
Strong knowledge of storage protocols, including eMMC, USB, PCIe, and NVMe
Expertise in electrical validation of storage protocols
Hands-on experience with lab debugging tools such as debuggers, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes
Demonstrated ability in failure analysis and root cause identification
Experience in test application development and performance measurement tools
Solid understanding of ASIC design principles and digital logic design
Familiarity with FPGA development and hardware description languages (e.g., Verilog, VHDL)
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, innovative environment
Experience with SSD firmware development and validation is a plus
Knowledge of compliance and interoperability procedures for storage products
Proven track record of working on complex ASIC projects from conception to production
