Location: Bangalore, India



Role Description



The applicant will lead the maintenance, enhancements, and implementation of new functionality on Simcorp which is the Core Fund Accounting platform for Securities Services business in Asia. The applicant will work closely with business, product, and operations teams to understand the requirements, come up with suitable functionality within Simcorp to meet the requirements. Where the functionality is required for new clients, the applicant will need to consider migration of data for the client from his existing platform into Simcorp such that regulatory and client reporting requirements are met. The applicant will be responsible for the design and development of interfaces with regulators, clients, DB internal applications for usage by the funds services business. Key responsibility will include process improvements by adapting functionality within Simcorp, evaluating, and implementing new modules in Simcorp and well as performing proof of concept for prospective clients on Simcorp. Typically requires 8+ years of applicable experience doing analysis for products like Simcorp Dimension or a similar application.

Your key responsibilities



Evaluate end to end operations processes within Simcorp to improve operational efficiency. Requirement gathering, analyzing the requirement, and implementing solutions within Simcorp using existing processes, screens, and workflows within Simcorp. Based on business requirements as well as client requirements, evaluate new functionality on Simcorp and work with product to decide which modules would be suitable for implementation. Ensure that the software the team builds is reliable and easy to support in production. Be prepared to take your turn on-call providing 3rd line support when it's needed Help your team to build, test and release software within short lead times and with minimum waste. Work to develop and maintain a highly automated Continuous Delivery pipeline. Manage version upgrades for Simcorp across all non-prod and prod instances in DB. Co-ordination and communication with the operations team, technology team and other stakeholders, to ensure on-time completion of project as per requirements. Facilitating user testing and production deployment. Help create a culture of learning and continuous improvement within your team and beyond Self-motivated, multi-tasking with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, solution oriented with proven results.

Your skills and experience



Bachelor's degree or higher 8+ years of experience on Simcorp Dimension product or a similar application with implementation for a fund accounting business is mandatory. Experience in analysis or operations of Fund accounting for a fund manager or funds services provider Hands on experience with the modules, Fund Administration Manager, Investment Accounting Manager, General Reconciliation, Market Data Manager, General Ledger Manager and Performance Manager on Simcorp Dimension is mandatory. Financial service experience within fund accounting experience on Simcorp is mandatory. Understanding of multiple accounting frameworks as applicable to specific markets in Asia within the fund accounting domain is mandatory Experience with improving operational efficiency by tweaking workflow as well as operational processes using Simcorp Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Proven ability to implement solutions in cohesive partnership with business, operations, technology, and other key stakeholders. Understanding of the Agile methodology and experience of using JIRA is an advantage. Knowledge of SQL and relational databases is mandatory. Knowledge and experience of GCP BigQuery is good to have. Experience working in an agile team, practicing Scrum, Kanban or XP

The ideal candidate will also have:



Experience in analysis for building interfaces between applications including vendor apps. Ability to quickly learn new tools/systems and understanding technology and functional design.
