. This role is purely target-driven and field-focused, requiring continuous client acquisition, frequent market visits, and strong negotiation skills. The ideal candidate should thrive under pressure, be passionate about sales closures, and possess strong market intelligence.
Key Responsibilities1. Hardcore Field Sales & Business Development
Aggressively generate
new customers and new orders
through daily field visits.
Identify untapped markets, industries, fabricators, and contractors.
Meet steel traders, builders, EPC contractors, manufacturers, and industrial buyers.
Achieve
monthly and quarterly sales targets
without supervision.
2. Market Penetration & Lead Conversion
Convert cold leads into active customers through continuous follow-ups.
Collect market intelligence on competitor pricing, credit terms, and demand trends.
Build a strong customer pipeline and maintain regular engagement.
3. Price Negotiation & Order Finalization
Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and order quantities.
Finalize deals independently and ensure timely order confirmation.
Coordinate with internal teams for smooth dispatch and billing.
4. Customer Relationship & Retention
Maintain long-term relationships with high-volume and repeat customers.
Ensure timely payment follow-ups and assist Accounts team when required.
Handle customer complaints and escalate issues for quick resolution.
5. Reporting & Sales Tracking
Submit
daily visit reports, weekly sales status, and market feedback
.
Track collections, outstanding payments, and order execution status.
Support management with real-time market updates.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum
3-5 years of hardcore field sales experience
, preferably in
Steel / TMT / Fabrication / Industrial Products
.
Strong local market knowledge of
Domjur, Howrah, and surrounding industrial belts
.
Proven track record of achieving aggressive sales targets.
Excellent negotiation, persuasion, and closing skills.
Willingness to travel extensively and work under pressure.
