The Techno-Commercial Sales professional will be responsible for driving the sales of hardware solutions including
Barcode Printers, POS Machines, Scanners, and Mobile Computers
. This is a hybrid role that requires a deep technical understanding of the hardware-software integration and the commercial acumen to handle pricing, tenders, and long-term contracts.
Key Responsibilities1. Technical Solutioning (The "Techno" Part)
Conduct technical site surveys to understand client requirements in retail, warehousing, or manufacturing environments.
Recommend specific hardware (e.g., Thermal vs. Direct Thermal printers, 1D vs. 2D scanners) based on the client's workflow.
Perform
product demonstrations
and Proof of Concept (PoC) for POS systems and barcode integration.
Collaborate with the software team to ensure hardware compatibility with ERPs (like SAP, Tally, or custom POS software).
2. Business Development (The "Commercial" Part)
Identify and acquire new B2B clients across Coimbatore and nearby industrial hubs
Prepare detailed
Techno-Commercial proposals
, including BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and ROI analysis.
Negotiate pricing, credit terms, and Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs).
Manage the end-to-end sales cycle: Lead generation -> Quotation -> Negotiation -> Closing -> Payment Collection.
3. Market & Relationship Management
Maintain strong relationships with key accounts in the
Retail, Textile, and Manufacturing
sectors.
Represent the company at local trade fairs and industrial expos in Coimbatore.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education:
Graduate in Engineering (ECE/EEE/CS), IT, or Business Administration.
Experience:
2-4 years of experience in hardware sales (AIDC/POS/IT Peripherals).
Hardware Knowledge:
Familiarity with brands like
Zebra, Honeywell, TSC, Epson, or TVS Electronics
. Understanding of thermal printing, RFID, and Android-based POS terminals.
Soft Skills:
Strong communication in
Tamil and English
. Ability to explain technical specs to non-technical business owners.
Travel:
Must be willing to travel extensively within the Coimbatore region for field visits.
