The Technician Trainee will work under the guidance of experienced technicians to learn about Royal Enfield motorcycles, from diagnostics to service. The role involves learning how to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the bikes, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and adhering to company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Training and Skill Development:

Participate in comprehensive training programs to develop technical skills in motorcycle repair and servicing. Learn to perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake checks, and other standard services.

Troubleshooting and Diagnostics:

Learn to diagnose motorcycle issues by performing inspections, testing components, and using diagnostic equipment. Assist senior technicians in the repair and troubleshooting process.

Bike Maintenance and Repair:

Assist with the disassembly, repair, and reassembly of components like engines, electrical systems, transmissions, and suspension. Learn to perform maintenance tasks including fluid changes, brake repairs, and electrical component diagnostics.

Customer Service:

Communicate with customers (under supervision) about their motorcycle issues and service requirements. Assist in providing updates on service status and any issues discovered during servicing.

Inventory Management:

Assist in managing tools, parts, and equipment used for service and repairs. Ensure that work areas are clean, organized, and safe.

Safety and Compliance:

Follow safety standards and regulations while handling tools and equipment. Ensure that all work complies with company policies and industry best practices.

Qualifications and Skills:

Educational Qualifications:

Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent (technical certification or automotive-related qualification may be a plus).

Technical Skills:

Basic understanding of motorcycles, engines, and mechanical systems. Willingness to learn and develop practical skills under supervision.

Personal Attributes:

Strong attention to detail and a passion for motorcycles and engineering. Good problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset. Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting parts or working in various postures. Comfortable with working in a workshop environment.
