Purpose of the Role

1.Inventory management - Issue & Receipt of Cutting Tools, Measuring instruments & safety accessories to machine shop
2.Ensure calibration due of Measuring instruments
3.Cutting tools & measuring instruments selection knowledge
4.Responsibility to do TQM activities in Departments

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Receiving tool list from Machine shop, verifying the availability of tools and providing the list to Tool presetting
Issue of tools as per machine shop requirement
Setting & Issue of measuring instruments to machines as per machine shop requirement
Handover of jigs & fixtures to user department
Tools inventory maintenance after receiving of tools
Tooling Knowledge for Selection of alternate available tools in case of any short supply of regular tools
Adding a Tool list for new components in software after discussed with IED programming team.
Receiving and verifying new tools and inserts from Material inward store and updating the stock in tool crib Software
Closing Receipt Traveller after verifying the incoming Tools
Responsible for handling safety accessories and stock maintaining from material inward store to production department.
Periodical inspection to ensure the instruments are calibrated weekly, Monthly and yearly in Co-ordination with Quality dept
Move order creation for safety accessories(gloves,goggles,waste) & receiving from store
Tool Stock Maintenance in TC Software.
Issue & Receipt of Tools to OSP for Re sharpening of End mills.
TQM Culture implementation in Tool Crib Area
