Service Technician, Delhi, India, Onsite

What is the job about?

Analyzing and solving electronic and software-related problems in the communication between control system and pump. Applying knowledge with a technical / business insight. Working within a unit and across functional areas with limited oversights. Responsible for the execution of the repair and maintenance work as agreed with the customer. Responsible for customer satisfaction in the assigned market, technical accountable and working -independently or together with ASP (Authorized Service Partners) to address customer requests in an efficient and professional manner.

Your main responsibilities:

• Make a risk assessment for every task.
• Report matters related to Safety, Health, and Environment.
• Advises the customer about shortcomings in the total system, which can prevent problems and offer a solution to these problems.
• Assist your manager by identifying and providing solutions for service and warranty matters, depending on the complexity of the issues, special consultation with technical support may be required.
• Prepares clear and complete service reports and ensures that these are submitted on time (warranty claims, working hours FAS Failure Analysis System etc)
• Register the identified product quality issue in the system.
• Assists in project execution - installation support, commissioning etc
• Provide the agreed maintenance services and SLA for service agreements.
• Provide feedback on relevant information to the respective stakeholders (sales and service sales PUs, operations etc including identified leads.
• Provide technical support to an ASP upon need, in the markets served by ASPs (Authorized Service Partners)
• Oversee complex project execution.
• Provide input for the content of the maintenance contracts
• Make complex root cause analysis on unplanned downtime events
• Coach and support the development of the junior field engineers
• Prepares inputs for quoting out-of-warranty repairs
• Collects installed base information.
• Continue learning and development to build up hands-on service capability
• Master the use of service tools and equipment

Your background:

We imagine that you have:

• Degree/Diploma holder in Electronics or Electrical Engineering

• Technical education knowledge of electrical engineering, and application knowledge Must be Proficient in PLC/HMI & SCADA Programming.
• Hand-On Experience in Logic Building on PLCs of ABB / Siemens,
• Should have Application Knowledge to understand the software on various platforms.
• Should be able to understand Engineering Documents like Functional Design Specifications, Process & Instrumentation Diagrams, Bill of Quantity, Power and Control Wiring Diagrams, Cable schedules, Terminal plans etc.
• Basic AutoCAD Software knowledge
• Should have Knowledge of Sensor Working/Operations.
• Should have commissioning Knowledge on VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives) & Soft starters
• Site Commissioning experience.
• Provide regular technical training to our Distributor Service team & the End Customer.

• 2-3 years of work experience in the industry or comparable environment.
• Experience with pump technology is advantage
• Knowledge of controls, remote monitoring, and connectivity
• Experience driving well-defined processes within the service environment.
• Ability to participate in work with processes or projects within the service environment.
• Knowledge of best practices and relevant practices, systems in the service environment
