Key Responsibilities:
Imaging Duties:
Perform diagnostic ultrasound and mammography procedures as per physician instructions and department protocols.
Ensure accurate positioning of the patient and proper functioning of imaging equipment.
Capture high-quality images and ensure timely submission for radiologist review.
Maintain and calibrate equipment regularly, reporting any malfunctions promptly.
Patient Orientation & Support:
Greet patients warmly and verify their identity and procedure.
Explain the imaging process in a clear, reassuring manner, addressing any concerns or fears.
Provide instructions for pre- and post-procedure care when applicable.
Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and dignity during the procedure.
Assist patients with mobility or special needs during the imaging process.
Administrative & Documentation:
Maintain accurate patient records and imaging logs.
Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, safety standards, and quality control procedures.
Adhere to infection control, radiation safety, and hygiene guidelines at all times.
Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and nursing staff to coordinate patient care.
Educate and support patients and their families as needed.
Skills:

Proficient in operating sonography and mammography equipment.
