Overview

We are seeking a skilled Technician for CCTV & FAPA Systems to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced security and fire alarm systems across various client sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in low voltage systems, electrical work, and network integration, with a focus on ensuring system reliability and security. Responsibilities

Install, configure, and service CCTV surveillance systems, fire alarm panels (FAPA), and security systems across multiple locations. Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure optimal operation of surveillance and alarm systems. Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals related to low voltage and electrical systems. Manage cabling, wiring, and conduit installation using hand tools and power tools while adhering to NEC standards. Set up remote access software for system monitoring and diagnostics. Perform system design modifications or upgrades based on client needs or technological advancements. Collaborate with clients to provide technical support and system training as needed. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including system configurations and service reports. Ensure compliance with safety protocols related to electrical work, construction standards, and fire safety regulations.

Experience

Proven experience as a service technician or installer specializing in CCTV, security systems, or fire alarm systems. Strong knowledge of computer networking, telecommunication wiring, and low voltage electrical systems. Familiarity with sensors, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), alarms, and surveillance equipment. Hands-on experience with schematics reading, system design, and troubleshooting using hand tools and power tools. Background in construction or telecommunications is advantageous. Knowledge of NEC standards related to electrical installations is preferred. Experience with locksmithing or security system sales is a plus but not required. Prior work involving remote access software or alarm system integration will be highly valued.
