The Cycle and Fitness Equipment Technician will be responsible for the assembly, fitting, and maintenance of cycles and various fitness equipment. This role involves inspecting, repairing, and maintaining both imported and locally sourced products, ensuring all equipment is fully operational and in optimal condition. The technician will also be responsible for identifying any damages, performing necessary repairs, and providing regular servicing to prolong the life and performance of the equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Cycle and Fitness Equipment Assembly:
Assemble and fit imported and local cycles and fitness equipment based on provided specifications and instructions.
Install parts and other fitness-related components.
Inspection and Repair:
Conduct detailed inspections of cycles, treadmills, stationary bikes, strength machines, and other fitness equipment to identify any damage, wear, or performance issues.
Diagnose problems with mechanical, electrical, and structural components, and carry out necessary repairs.
Replace damaged or worn parts and ensure proper functionality of all equipment.
Maintenance Services:
Perform routine maintenance, including lubrication, tightening, calibration, and cleaning of cycles and fitness equipment.
Ensure that all equipment functions optimally by conducting thorough checks and test runs.
Customer Service & Advice:
Interact with customers to understand their concerns, provide repair estimates, and advise on the best maintenance practices for their equipment.
Offer recommendations on upgrades or replacements based on equipment performance and customer needs.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of equipment repairs, servicing schedules, and parts replacements.
Track inventory of spare parts and tools needed for ongoing repairs and maintenance.
Qualifications & Skills:
Previous experience as a cycle and fitness equipment technician, or in a similar technical role, is preferred.
In-depth knowledge of cycle mechanics and fitness equipment (treadmills, exercise bikes, rowing machines, etc.).
Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and digital systems in fitness equipment.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and repair skills.
Ability to work independently with a high degree of attention to detail.
