Role Summary/Purpose:

As a member of the Retail Development team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality documentation for epicor Payment Application. You will work within R&D project teams to produce various types of documentation such as implementation and user guides, how-to articles, and walk thrus. You will also work with business analysts, developers and QA testers to ensure our applications have the required documentation to inform and support our customers. As a member of Epicor's Product Development Team, you will be based in our recently opened India Technology Center, so you will take part in Epicor's next success story from the very beginning as we are building up our new tech campus in Bangalore.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Write the API documentation for the Epicor Payment application.
• Manage a comprehensive list of content development requirements for all deliverables across Epicor Payment Application.
• Develop, and maintain documentation of various outputs for Epicor Payment Application.
• Explain complex technical concepts in clear, simple, conversational terms.
• Translate software operations into concise and understandable end user deliverables.
• Support numerous projects simultaneously.
• Work closely with Business Analyst, Programming, Quality Assurance teams and Product Management to ensure all aspects of the products are clearly and completely documented.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Degree in Technical writing, Education or Instructional Design or related program and/or equivalent experience.
• 2-5 years of experience as a product content developer.
• Proficiency in Markdown language, Microsoft Word, and\or other desktop publishing software.
• Familiarity with online help authoring software.
• Fluency in oral and written English.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Solid organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to multitask and work on different projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently as well as on project teams.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced technology environment.

Desired Characteristics:

• Knowledge of technical and development terminology.
• Knowledge of retail operations and terminology.
• Knowledge of basic HTML and/or XML.
• Knowledge of documentation single sourcing.
• Experience with document localization and translation.
• Familiarity with content management systems.
