We're seeking a skilled Technical Writer who can bring together the "technical" and "writer" aspects of the role to create clear, concise, and engaging content for our cloud-based software solutions in the health sciences education space. This position requires a passion for understanding complex products in depth, crafting content that explains not only the "how" but also the "why," and delivering a variety of documentation formats to support customers, partners, and internal teams. The ideal candidate thrives in collaborative environments, works well with subject matter experts (SMEs), and enjoys exploring innovative ways to create and distribute content, from written guides to videos and in-app help.

Key Responsibilities

Create and maintain high-quality documentation including user guides, configuration guides, troubleshooting guides, release notes, FAQs, and online help. Develop training content and instructional materials for all user types Produce clear, structured procedural guides with supporting visuals and clean screenshots. Design and edit instructional and product demo videos using tools such as Camtasia or Adobe Premiere Pro. Create innovative content formats including short videos, in-app guides, and context-sensitive help. Work closely with product managers, engineers, QA, support teams, and SMEs to gather information and ensure technical accuracy. Understand product functionality and act as a user to anticipate documentation needs. Ensure documentation adheres to company style, tone, and structure standards. Review and approve UI text such as validation messages, announcements, and menu labels. Plan and maintain documentation schedules, ensuring content is kept up to date with product releases and feedback. Experiment with new content creation and distribution methods. Set best practices for documentation and recommend tools for quality output.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience; a degree in language, literature, English, or a related field is a plus. 3-8 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in SaaS or healthcare/education technology domains. Proficiency in authoring tools such as MadCap Flare, Zendesk, MS Word, or similar. Strong experience in multimedia content creation and video editing (Camtasia, Adobe Premiere Pro, etc.). Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and translate them into clear, user-friendly content. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management abilities.

Preferred Skills

Technical Writing Certification from a recognized institute. Experience with Snagit, Visio, Figma, or other visual design tools. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development processes. Experience with a doc-as-code approach and markdown language. * Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or educational platforms.
