How will you make an impact?
As a Technical Writer, this role will develop comprehensive and high-quality user documentation for analytical instrument software products. The role also requires collaborating with multiple teams to understand the documentation requirements and disseminate technical information in a clear and concise manner for a non-technical audience.
What will you do?
Develop topic-based hardware and software documentation for analytical instruments.
Collaborate with subject-matter experts and technical staff to capture information and identify documentation needs.
Participate in the peer review process to ensure the accuracy and quality of the documentation.
Follow established style guides and maintain consistency in writing style and formatting.
Create visual elements, such as illustrations, animations, or videos, for technical documentation.
How will you get here?
Qualifications:
Education in science or in a related field, such as Chemistry or Biochemistry, or suitable experience in those fields
2 to 5 years of technical writing experience or equivalent experience
Proficiency in authoring tools and content management systems
Familiarity with graphics tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and SnagIt
Must be highly organized and pay attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Nice to have:
Familiarity with Darwin Information Type Architecture (DITA) and modern content management systems
Experience of or knowledge in chromatography and mass spectrometry
Experience with video production tools such as Captivate, Storyline, or Camtasia
Understanding of SDLC and software development practices (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)
