Position: Technical Writer (individual contributor)
Location: Bangalore
Years: 3-5
Key Responsibilities:

Research, write, and update new and existing technical documents as assigned by the lead or manager
Work on documents such as installation guide, user guide, online help, release notes, protocol guides, patch notes
Deliver quality technical documents on time and on scope
Regularly update the lead or manager on the work status
Work in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision
Manage assignments in a professional and proactive manner

Skills:

Write technical information in a clear, concise, and grammatically correct language
Knowledge of Adobe FrameMaker, WebWorks ePublisher, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Office
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong aptitude to learn complex technical concepts quickly
Good editing, problem solving, and organization skills
Constantly think about creating, editing, reusing, and organizing content that will be easy to maintain as the documentation set scales
Good team player
Knowledge of Telecom and Media related technologies (networking, routing, media server, VoIP, video and audio codes, telephony, switching, etc.)
Experience in telecom/networking product development companies is an added advantage
Knowledge of single-sourcing strategies is preferable
