Job Description

The Technical Writer works with producers (Product Management, Engineering) and consumers (Service Delivery, Release Engineering, Production) of Clario core products to create technical documentation for core product releases and assists the Sr. Technical Writer. This role translates complex technical concepts into accessible language for user guides, online help systems, and educational resources.

What you'll be doingWork closely with scrum teams to understand core product release Work closely with internal consumers (esp. PDEs, DDEs, Support, Release Engineering) to understand audience needs Determine appropriate documentation and structure of documentation to maximize content reuse across different types of documents, such as:

Release Notes (internal)
Installation documentsConceptual and user guides, including (but not limited to): API guides, with code samples

Architectural overviews
System diagramsMeet document deadlines and help to manage tactical tasks related to software projects

What we're looking forBachelors degree 3+ years of related experience Ability to distill complex concepts from a variety of sources into clear, usable documentation Strong writing skills (grammar, punctuation, form, content, structure, etc.) and attention to detail Project Management skills Strong technical knowledge of programming, preferably with programming experience Ability, patience, and persistence to elicit documentation requirements from consumers Ability and knowledge to elicit consumable information from developers, specifically considering the audience for each type of document Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, Agile environment Strong Adobe InDesign skills. Proficiency in MS Office (esp. Word, Excel, Visio), Adobe Illustrator; Photoshop, Snagit, and SharePoint. Experience with document management systems preferred. Experience organizing content to maximize reuse in different types of documents. Experience writing in a regulated industry (e.g., Medical Device Software) desirable Instructional design experience desirable
