- IT Technical Support Executive
Work Location: Shirpur Hospital Campus (on-site support)
Job Requirement
To provide first level technical support and ensure smooth functioning of hospital IT infrastructure, cables, including desktops, networking, telephones, hospital management software (HMIS), PACS, printers, biometric systems, CCTV and other IT-enabled medical and administrative equipment.
Key Responsibilities
1. End User Support
Provide Level 1/Level 2 technical assistance to hospital staff for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, telephones, CCTV and other peripherals. Hands on trouble shooting and crimping, patching of Network and Telephone cables, connectors.
Troubleshoot issues related to Windows OS, MS Office, Internet connectivity, and hospital software applications.
Assist medical and nursing teams with IT-related issues affecting patient care or workflow.
2. Hospital Software & Systems
Support day-to-day operations of HMIS, PACS, LIS, RIS, EMR, and other clinical systems.
Monitor and assist in regular backups and data integrity checks.
3. Network & Connectivity
Assist in troubleshooting LAN/WAN issues, Telephones, Wi-Fi access, and connectivity of medical devices (like monitors, PACS workstations).
Coordinate with network team for resolving connectivity and cabling issues.
Maintain network documentation (IP allocation, device mapping, patch panel labeling, etc.).
4. Hardware & Asset Management
Perform preventive maintenance for IT assets and ensure minimal downtime.
Maintain inventory of IT equipment, spares, and consumables.
Support CCTV, NVRs, access control, and biometric systems as part of hospital IT scope.
5. IT Security & Compliance
Ensure antivirus and endpoint protection are active and updated.
Report incidents or breaches immediately to the IT Manager.
Document SOPs for common IT processes and troubleshooting.
Key Skills and Competencies
knowledge of Windows OS, and MS Office suite.
Basic understanding of networking (LAN/WAN, IP addressing, switches, routers).
Understand and Trouble shoot hands on in crimping Network and telephone cables, connectors
Familiarity with HMIS, PACS, or HIS systems in a healthcare setup preferred.
Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Customer service orientation and ability to handle users patiently.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Qualifications and Experience
Education: Diploma / B.Sc. / BCA in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline.
Experience:2-3 years of experience in IT support, preferably in a hospital or healthcare environment.
Certifications (Preferred): CompTIA, A+, MCP, Networking.
Work Conditions
Rotational shifts, including weekends or emergency on-call duties.
