The pandemic has highlighted how important telecoms networks are to society. Nokia\xe2\x80\x99s Network Infrastructure group is at the heart of a revolution to bring more and faster network capacity to people worldwide through our ambition, innovation, and technical expertise.

What you will learn and contribute to

• Design and develop and sophisticated software to augment and evolve various components of the SDWAN solution from the Nuage family of products.
• Drive the implementation of next generation features as laid out by product management teams, in close colleboration with the peer software and test teams worldwide.
• Write unit test cases and debug infrastructure to prevent and isolate problems in scaled test and deployment scenarios.
• Participate in system design, FS and test plan reviews.
• Working closely with other development teams in the Nuage eco-system, and documentation team to ensure the product is ease-to-deploy, ease-to-use and debuggable.

Your skills and experience

• Strong C/C++ skills and a desire to write modular code that with strong inclination to do it right the first time.
• Domain Expert in networking protocols: Switching, Routing (BGP,OSPF), TCP, UDP.
• Strong knowledge of packet forwarding technologies (IP/mac lookups, ACLs, QoS).
• Experience on WAN optimization
• Familiarity with security related protocols like IKE/SSL etc would help, but not necessary.
• Good knowledge on Linux kernel, multi thread applications
• Excellent software design skills for a complex and highly scaled system.
• Proficient in development of multi-threaded software on Linux/Unix.
• Ability to analyze performance issues at system-level and component-level.
• Experience with working on OpenVswitch (OVS) + DPDK.
• Familiarity with virtualization techniques : Hypervisors (KVM, VMware), Linux virtualization Infra/platform/Virtualization would help.

Qualifications

Bachelor\'s in Engineering or higher.
