In the dynamic, multifaceted technology environment of today, joining Colgate-Palmolive's Information Technology team presents an exciting opportunity. Our innovative and highly technical team is committed to driving significant growth and digital transformation across the constantly evolving landscape of Colgate Palmolive.

Colgate-Palmolive is seeking a professional to develop applications utilizing the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP). This successful candidate will be an integral part of the HR Applications team in Global IT, responsible for supporting diverse technologies such as Successfactors, BTP applications and integrations for HR data. The primary objective of this role is to develop new interfaces and applications on the ABAP Environment within SAP BTP based on RAP, while also exploring other BTP services (including Automation and AI) to build robust applications and support existing systems. The ideal candidate must be adaptable and willing to explore any technical area necessary to support the HR business processes.


Main Responsibilities:


Develop and implement applications and interfaces using the BTP RAP (ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model), including the creation of new UI and processing frameworks. Focus on performance optimization when building applications, ensuring they can process large datasets efficiently with robust quality checks. Design and execute comprehensive unit tests to maintain and guarantee high code quality. Translate complex business demands and requirements into effective, actionable development solutions. Demonstrate high motivation and a passion for continuously improving existing solutions and actively exploring new technologies.



Required Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in ABAP development. Experience with ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP). Eagerness and capacity to quickly learn and adopt new technologies. Strong ability to efficiently build upon and apply existing technical knowledge. Commitment to creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation alongside development objects. Proficiency in developing and maintaining application code that strictly adheres to established coding standards. Skill in performing detailed unit testing to ensure code effectively meets all specified requirements. A collaborative team player, eager to work with others and contribute to mutual growth. Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills.

Added Advantage:

Knowledge in areas such as SuccessFactors, SAPUI5, OData, various BTP Services, JavaScript, and Web Development.
