POSITION SUMMARY - Technical Specialist

Incumbent will have to work as an individual contributor in Bangalore, India. The role involves developing solutions to Mechanical engineering challenges for the diversified product lines of Textron Specialized Vehicles which includes Golf, Turf, Utility, Ground Support Equipment, and off-highway recreational vehicles. Mechanical principles, theories, and concepts are required to complete the tasks. A Mechanical Engineering Technical Specialist designs, develops, maintains, and improves mechanical systems, equipment, and processes while providing expert technical support and guidance.

Key Responsibilities

:

Concept Development:

Transform ideas into mechanical design concepts, prototypes, and final products.

Design Validation

: Run sub system simulations, tolerance analysis to ensure designs meet specifications.

CAD Modeling

: Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using software UG NX.

Collaboration

: Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of designs into production.

Documentation

: Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and reports for design reviews and approvals.

Continuous Improvement

: Identify opportunities to improve product performance, reduce costs, and enhance manufacturability.

Compliance

: Ensure designs adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and company quality requirements.

Qualifications

Experience & Qualification: Min 8 years of experience in the related field with min Engineering Degree (B. Tech/BE) in Mechanical / Automotive/ Industrial Engineering.

Candidates are evaluated on core/system knowledge of Mechanical engineering under automobile, Industrial, e-Mobility and Engineering change management process disciplines, Knowledge on any CAD and PLM/PDM system is an added advantage
