Job Description

This position will interact on a consistent basis with developers, architects, data product owners and source systems. This position requires multifaceted candidates who have experience in data analysis, good hands-on experience with Linux platform and relational databases and experience in data warehouse architecture (traditional and cloud).
Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Work with team as team lead in various projects and POC efforts. Guide the team with technical and process expertise. Projects could be to ingest data or enhance the existing datasets or curate/cleans and derive new derived datasets. Also, projects could be to convert applications from existing platforms to cloud, or to do a POC on a new technology, etc.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and provide alternatives to a range of complex problems from Technical and functional perspective. Issues could be functional data issues, data load issues, derivation logic in code or technical issues with technologies.
• Candidate will work closely with reporting manager in India and the Associate Director in US to take directions, and work assignments.
• Candidate will socialize the ideas, roadmap, issues, and challenges with others to reach an agreement and take decisions.
• Candidate will work independently and will review the status at major milestones and periodically with the responsible parties. Depending upon the assigned work, the candidate may interact with the project PM or Business client or Reporting Manager/Associate Director or Architects in US will review the output and decisions.
• Candidate will understand and implement the policies set by the corporation/organization. This may be security policy (SOX, PCI, ASPR, etc) to design applications, RIM policies to design purging programs, etc.
• Flexible with shifts and occasional weekend support.

• 
  Linux/Unix Platform Experience (Required 4 years)
• RDBMS and Data Warehousing (Required 4 - 6 Years). Snowflake, Teradata or Vertica experience is preferred.
• SQL Programming (Required 4-6 Years)
• Unix/Linux shell scripting (Required 4-6 years)
• Java (Desired 2 years)
• Cloud Platform - AWS, Azure, Snowflake (Desired – 2-3 years)
