Job Summary
The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver best-in-class data components and applications leveraging Java microservices, API architecture, Oracle, PostGreS, Lit UI frameworks and various data engineering techniques
The successful candidate will be equally comfortable with code development, test automation, pushing production grade application code, solving problems with the team in design sessions, knitting together simple technical architectures, and communicating decisions effectively with senior stakeholders.
Above all, we seek a candidate with the right attitude: opiniated and optimistic yet pragmatic and hungry to collaborate. Regardless of depth of experience, we need someone who is ready to listen and learn.
Among the list of below skills, not all are required. The candidate must demonstrate ease and confidence in learning any skills they have not yet had a chance to hone.
Key Responsibilities

• Senior Full stack Java Developer:

o Strong knowledge and experience in developing application using Java 8 , J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring cloud and hibernate.
o Strong knowledge and Hands-on experience on web application, Restful webservices and Microservices architecture.
o Good understanding of design patterns and its usages to implement reusable components of code.
o Good knowledge and hands on experiences with databases like Postgres, Oracle.
o Good knowledge and experience on Junit and Mockito.
o Experience in UI technologies and frameworks - ReactJS preferred.
o Experience in docker technology and cloud-based applications (OpenShift, AWS, Azure etc.,)
o Strong analytical and debugging skills.
o Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
o Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
o Some experience with UI frameworks, design patterns and implementations
o Mentor and guide other team members and code review

• Data Engineering

o Expert SQL and data analysis
o Building data pipelines and architecture
o Should have extensive experience with relational and NO-SQL databases
o Should have proficiency in handling both structured and unstructured data sources
o Strong experience deploying applications to cloud platforms like Azure, AWS
o Interest in building efficient batch and streaming data engineering pipelines
o Exposure to distributed data processing platforms like Spark, Hadoop
o Some experience in MicroStrategy Reporting - backend and front-end

• Software delivery

o Strong experience with Azure DevOps platform (Git, repos, pipelines, boards)
o Strong understanding of Agile & Scrum development methodologies
o Strong understanding of test-driven developmen

• Any experience working with Data Science team is advantageous:

o Programming skills in Python
o Training and deploying machine learning models end-to-end
o Good understanding of basic statistics and deep learning techniques
o Any experience in data integration, profiling, validation and cleansing
o Experience deploying TensorFlow and PyTorch into production

• Re-engineer legacy applications and build state of the art platforms

• Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities where data can be used to drive business solutions

• Develop, add to and enhanced testing frameworks
• Implement and use current get DevOps approaches and tools to automate development and delivery
• Build and test end-to-end production grade features
• Develop and use processes and tools to monitor and analyse production services, pipelines & model performance

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with multiple levels of executives from different functions
• Excels at communicating complex concepts in simple terms

Governance

• Contribute to and ensure adherence to overall platform architecture and direction
• Responsible for implementing Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines and other DevOps practices within Applications, Data interfaces & Pipelines and AI/ML platforms
• Ensure adherence to delivery and test governance practices, rules and norms

Qualifications

• EDUCATION: Bachelor's in computer science, mathematics, engineering or another quantitative field
