As our Industrial Specialties business looks to deliver its ambitious strategy of growth, we are looking for a Technical Service executive to join our organisation to support the team for application development activities, Customer specific work requests and innovating for new applications to serve a wide range of product lines.
Reporting into the General Manager R&D, you will be responsible for building new products, providing technical services to customers, training on product usage thereby providing customer satisfaction.

Bachelor's degree in surface coatings and Polymers
Strong understanding of surfactants and their application in multiple applications including in Emulsion Polymerization.
Proficient in generation and exploitation of intellectual property.
Ability to creatively generate solutions to customer problems.
Excellent communication skills.
What You'll Be Doing:
Be part of a team that values diversity, sustainability, and continuous innovation, where your ideas and contributions matter.
Apply technical and commercial knowledge within their smart formulations lab, some of which may be non-routine.
Provide a technical support service to sales & marketing, e.g., answering customer technical enquiries, recommending products, participating in
customer technical visits & training.
Manage own projects over 0 - 6 months. Responsible for prioritizing multiple projects using the available resources. Decide on how to proceed with next experiment / stage of the project. Advice and assistance are readily available for decisions with regards to identification of raw material substitutes and quality related problems.
Regularly communicate, influence, and provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders to promote and extend the use of Croda products, thus building relationships with production, R&D, technical, sales and marketing contacts both internally and externally within a market area. Communication is verbal, e-mail, technical reports, and presentations internally and externally. Through contacts made by the line manager and senior technical personnel the role holder is expected to maintain relationships with and engage with technical institutes and industry forums to improve methods, processes and technologies within the discipline.
Maintain the understanding of market trends.
Assist in business development as a product specialist and demonstrate the uses of products.
The role carries no line management responsibility.
