About the Role:



We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented

Technical Service & Warranty Lead

to oversee service operations, warranty claims, and vendor management for commercial foodservice equipment. You will be the key contact ensuring restaurant and hotel customers experience quick, reliable service -- from troubleshooting issues to managing local repair partners and ensuring fast claim reimbursements.

Key Responsibilities:



1. Technical Support & Repairs



Diagnose equipment issues (refrigeration, ovens, fryers, ice machines, etc.) via phone or video. Verify warranty status and open claims with required documentation. Decide whether issues can be fixed remotely or require on-site technicians. Approve or review repair diagnoses, order parts, and manage replacements or returns. Keep customers updated on repair timelines and preventive steps.

2. Service Vendor Network Management



Identify, qualify, and onboard repair vendors across the U.S. Verify licensing, insurance, and compliance for refrigeration and kitchen equipment technicians. Negotiate rates, labor terms, and service-level agreements (SLAs). Maintain a strong vendor database and conduct monthly performance reviews.

3. Warranty & Insurance Management



Work with warranty/insurance partners to ensure quick reimbursement for parts and labor. Prepare and submit complete claim documentation. Track claim status and follow up for approvals and payments.

4. Quality Control & Reporting



Track and report repeat failures to improve equipment reliability. Maintain detailed service logs, CRM records, and weekly performance reports. Recommend process improvements to enhance turnaround and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:



Minimum

5-7 years of experience

in commercial kitchen or HVAC-R service. Strong technical knowledge of electrical and refrigeration systems. Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in documentation, CRM tools, and vendor management.

Preferred:

CFESA certification or factory training (Hobart, True, Turbo Air, Scotsman, Manitowoc, Blodgett, etc.). Experience negotiating vendor rates or managing national service networks is a plus.
