Technical service at customer sites, training, product development...

As Technical Service Manager your overall focus is to support sales in the region, and you will have a close collaboration with the Key Account Manager. You will do so by creating customer satisfaction based on your technical insight, constructive advisory and problem solving. You will develop and manage our technical service function covering Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific (APAC).


Your primary tasks will be to:


Optimise the set up for technical service in your region - aligned with the sales process Be the technical knowledge centre for colleagues, customers and partners Provide technical services across process, marine and offshore markets Provide technical training - 1:1 and through "Lunch and Learns" of colleagues and customers and relevant stakeholders Handling complaints related to technical issues Participate in regional development projects on products, application areas or customers Participate in relevant regional forums - standardisation committees, conferences etc.

You will be based at our site in Mumbai, India and from there travel between 80 to 100 days per year to customer sites across the region.

Coatings and Corrosion expert with customer focus and communication skills

We are looking for a profile with insight and confidence to take on a role as primary subject matter expert. You must thrive on working very close to the customers and put them in centre of basically everything you do. This calls for your communication skills and your ability to tailor your messages to your audience with due respect to professional and cultural differences. You can do so 1:1 and when presenting to a bigger audience, in solid English. Your education and experience comprises:


A technical degree - e.g. chemical or mechanical engineering 5+ years' technical experience in process, marine or offshore markets Solid knowledge of corrosion in process or marine industries * Project management experience and the ability to plan and work independently
