A Technical Sales Support is part of the remaining Sales Support team and responsible for picking up simple requests ensuring that the Senior Sales Supporters can focus on complex requests. Via CRM Sales Supporter is responsible for ensuring fast responses to our customers according to our SLAs.
What we expect from you?
4-5 years of experience in technical sales support, application engineering within the pump industry (centrifugal, positive displacement, screw pumps, or similar rotating equipment).
B Tech/M Tech in Mechanical Engineering
Strong exposure to pump sizing, selection, and performance calculations.
Familiarity with ERP systems(Microsoft Dynamics).
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) & Salesforce.
Your responsibilities will be...
Provide unparalleled support and service to customers during the quotation phase.
Review technical specifications, generate quotations, and prepare deviation lists.
Liaise with suppliers to ensure the right supply chain in collaboration with procurement.
Ensure that inquiries are created under the correct ID in Salesforce.
Prepare quotations and associated documentation for the sales team and submit directly to customers when necessary.
Manage the creation of new items (NICs) of minor and medium complexity for centrifugal pumps and base plates.
Assist with quote follow-up and lead generation activities.
Calculate and communicate the implications of order changes in coordination with sales and customers.
Assist the purchasing team in coordinating motor replacements with alternate options, in collaboration with sales.
Arrange GA drawings of DESMI pumps, technical datasheets from third-party pumps, and related products like motors and motor starter panels by coordinating with R&D/P&E and preferred suppliers.
Contact motor manufacturers and preferred suppliers for technical data, quotations, and documentation of various products.
Ensure high-quality standards for incoming materials and components.
Support order management by addressing technical order changes.
Participate in ad hoc projects internally within sales support and externally with other teams.
Maintain the drawings library folder for the sales support team, ensuring all technical documents are up-to-date and accessible.
Efficiently create and manage new client prospects in Salesforce, maintaining precise and up-to-date records to support sales efforts
Identify the inquiry requiring project and engineering support and ensure that a corresponding Project ID is accurately created and tracked in Salesforce.
