The Technical Sales Specialist will deliver expert-level support and guidance to Market Area domain teams and Customer Units (CUs) within the Packet Core domain in Global Presales Excellence Center (GPEC). This individual is expected to collaborate closely with regional colleagues on customer RFx analysis and to develop effective solutions tailored to specific requirements.
Additionally, this position encourages initiating and participating in knowledge-sharing activities, as well as coaching and mentoring team members to enhance overall competence.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The key responsibilities of Technical Sales Specialist are defined as below:
Deliver high-quality responses to RFPs and tenders within specified deadlines.
Take full ownership of bid responses within designated areas of responsibility.
Comprehensively review RFP requirements and promptly initiate clarifications and responses relevant to assigned domains.
Engage with regional counterparts to facilitate discussions related to RFP matters.
Serve as the solution responsible for Packet Core (including UPF, SMF, AMF, GGSN, EPG, SGSN-MME, WMG, SAPC, CCRC, CCPC, SC, IP-STP, DSC, etc.) in the GPEC.
Ensure all assumptions and risks are thoroughly identified and documented when presenting technical solutions to customers in respective regions.
Support the Engagement Lead or Solution Manager in the GPEC during bid acceptance phases, reaching consensus on scope and effort estimation with regional teams.
Strengthen expertise in Packet Core domain products.
Promote knowledge sharing and efficient utilization of the existing document repository.
Offer recommendations regarding TCO optimization to Market Area stakeholders.
Maintain effective communication with Sales Support Teams and related support organizations to provide timely and accurate responses to customer inquiries.
When preparing proposals, assume responsibility through various interfaces for activities and deliverables including:
a) Network design and dimensioning
b) Bill of Quantities (BoQ) and solution documentation
c) Addressing technical Statements of Compliance (SoC) and responding to customer queries
Deep technical expertise, active knowledge sharing with strong focus on automation with/without AI/ML indicate potential for success.
What you will do

Strong understanding of general Packet Core solutions for 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G (NSA/SA) networks
Deep knowledge in Packet Core products and solutions
Ericsson Packet Core product knowledge will be an added advantage
Knowledge of dimensioning and product configuration tools will be considered as merit
Knowledge of interface/protocols with MSS, IMS (SBC, CSCF, MTAS/AS) & UDC (HLR/HSS/CUDB/EIR/UDM/UDR etc.) nodes along with call flow would be an added advantage
Good knowledge of NFVI/Virtualization and Cloud Native concepts along with basic understanding of Kubernetes(K8s) would be an added advantage
Key Qualification:
Education: Bachelor of Engineering in Telecommunication / Electronics
or equivalent university degree
Experience: 4 to 9 years of relevant work experience
