Technical Proposal Engineer

:

Prepare technical and commercial proposals for filter presses, hydraulic systems, pumps, plates, cloths, and related accessories. Develop equipment sizing, configuration, and selection based on process data, slurry characteristics, and customer applications. Create technical documentation, including data sheets, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), GA drawings (in coordination with the design team), scope of supply, and compliance statements. Prepare cost estimations, BOMs, and pricing based on engineering standards, material requirements, and market benchmarks. Analyze customer RFQs, tender documents, and process details (solid loading, particle size, filtration cycle, required dryness, etc.). Recommend the optimal type of filter press (Manual, Semi-Automatic, Fully Automatic, Membrane, Recessed Chamber, etc.). Determine plate size, number of plates, filtration area, filtration rate, cycle time, and related engineering parameters. Select appropriate feed pumps, piping, hydraulic systems, and automation packages. Work closely with the Design & Engineering team for customized layouts or configurations. Support the Sales Team during customer discussions and techno-commercial negotiations. Provide pre-sales technical support, clarifications, and presentations. Ensure all proposals comply with customer specifications, industry standards, and internal guidelines. Prepare tender documentation, compliance matrices, deviation statements, and technical justifications. Maintain proposal records, costing sheets, and a database of standard equipment configurations.

Skills Required:

Strong understanding of filter press technologies, hydraulic systems, filtration theory, and slurry handling. Experience in equipment sizing, process calculations, and customization. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (GA, P&ID, fabrication drawings). Proficiency in MS Office (Excel-based costing), AutoCAD (basic), and ERP systems. Ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously under tight deadlines. Strong attention to detail and structured documentation skills.

Qualification:

Diploma or B.E. in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
