Job Description

The Technical Project Manager - Telematics, IoT SW Development is responsible for managing projects involving design and development of various software modules used in embedded connectivity products. Projects could include: Connectivity Modules and Network Gateway Modules, utilizing technologies such as embedded microprocessors, Ethernet, cellular modems (LTE, 5G, etc..), Bluetooth / WiFi chipsets along with GPS/GNSS technology.

Function of the role is to manage product development to deliver production intent, automotive grade software to enable connectivity and security for future vehicles and mobility solutions. This position is located in our Bangalore, India Office.

Qualifications

• 8+ Years of Experience working in Automotive, Telematics, IoT domains
• Minimum 4+ years as Technical Project Manager

Domain Knowledge / Skills

• Automotive product development life cycle
• Technical depth to understand Telematics or IOT systems
• Ability to understand the system technically
• He / She must have worked on development of one of these devices:

• Telematics device
• Mobile communication technologies
• Wireless communication technologies (Wifi, Bluetooth...)

Project Management Skills:

• Planning, Stakeholder management and Communication management
• Effort estimation
• Processes definition and rolling out to all stakeholders.
• Customer handling and escalation management
• To define the Performance criteria for the testing resources (machine /non-machine) based resources.
• Define roadmap for SW development (upgrade the strategy in terms of Process, Methods and Tools)
• Practitioner of Agile / SCRUM development techniques
• Project planning tools like MS-Projects, Excel
• Configuration Management Tool like SVN
• Change request tools like JIRA, ALM etc.
• Requirements management tools like DOORs
• Team management (Performance evaluation, Associate development, Conflict resolution etc..)
• Understanding of ASPICE
• PMP & CSM Certification will be an added advantage.
