a)Responsible for the daily supervision / instruction to the laboratory staff as well as participating in the preparation of materials and equipment; including testing and troubleshooting practical experiments and identification and rectification of potential problems.
b) Provide technical advice concerning instrumentation, analysis results and practical errors and other services to Technical Assistants.
c) Responsible for the general laboratory housekeeping and the maintenance of laboratory, including supervision of laboratory space, instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, installation and training.
d) Responsible for the daily supervision / instruction of other laboratory staff.
e) To give instructions to Technical Assistant for performing test
f) To use equipments for testing as referred in the related Standards.
g) Inform breakdown maintenance of the equipment to Dy Technical Manager
h) To ensure that place the remaining samples retained for the re-test in the sample preservation area and ensure that the sample is preserved for specified retention period. However it may stored for longer period, if requested by concern user section.
i) To ensure that the proper records are maintained at all stages of testing and ensuring the validity of results.
j) To monitor the environment condition regularly and record the same periodically during the testing activities carried-out.
k) To handle the samples throughout the testing and preservation in such a way that it does not create any problem in testing.
l) To analyses the complaint by reviewing the related records as per the complaint given by the Lab Technicians
m) To report to the LAB HEAD / Dy Technical Manager on day-to-day functioning / activities.
