Role Overview
We're currently building a C2C international marketplace for buying and selling pre-owned diamonds and diamond jewellery. It's an exciting project, and were looking for a Technical Manager to lead the charge!
What You'll Do
As our Technical Manager, youll take ownership of the entire tech side of the marketplace project -- guiding the dev team, planning and executing the roadmap, and ensuring a smooth, secure, and scalable platform.
Your Day-to-Day:

• Lead the Team: Manage web developers and IT staff through all stages - design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Own the Project: Oversee the C2C marketplace development to ensure its delivered on time and aligned with business needs.
• Architect Smart Solutions: Use your skills in PHP, Magento, Laravel, and MySQL to create scalable backend systems.
• Collaborate with Frontend Devs: Work closely with Vue 3 & NuxtJS experts to deliver a clean and powerful user experience.
• Cloud Savvy: Leverage AWS / Azure to ensure top-notch performance and scalability.
• CI/CD & DevOps: Streamline development workflows for fast and safe releases.
• Prioritize Security: Implement best practices to keep the platform and data secure.
• Align with Business Goals: Collaborate across departments to ensure tech supports business strategy.
• Document Everything: Maintain clear and updated technical documentation.

What Were Looking For

• Degree in Computer Science/IT; Masters is a plus
• 5-10 years in tech leadership & project management
• Strong hands-on with PHP, Laravel, Magento, MySQL
• Comfortable with Git, AWS/Azure, and CI/CD tools
• Experience with Vue 3 & NuxtJS
• Strong security understanding for web platforms
• Excellent communication, leadership, and team coordination skills
• Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, goal-driven setup
• Bonus: Prior experience in e-commerce or marketplace development
