Job Description

We are looking for a skilled

Technical Manager

to lead and supervise the technical operations of our testing laboratory in Barbil, Odisha. The candidate should have strong analytical skills, hands-on testing experience, and the ability to manage day-to-day technical activities efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and manage the

testing operations

for Coal, Coke, Iron Ore, Limestone, etc. Ensure proper sample preparation, testing procedures, and method compliance. Provide

technical guidance

and training to laboratory technicians and staff. Review and verify test results for accuracy, reliability, and correctness. Maintain testing equipment, oversee calibration schedules, and report any technical issues. Support the Quality Manager in implementation of

ISO/IEC 17025

procedures. Prepare technical documents, SOPs, and assist in audit readiness. Ensure proper record keeping and adherence to safety standards in the laboratory. Troubleshoot technical problems and ensure smooth laboratory operations.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of

testing methods

related to Coal, Coke, Iron Ore, and Limestone. Basic understanding of

ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory requirements

(preferred). Ability to identify technical issues and implement corrective measures. Good leadership, communication, and team-handling skills. Hands-on experience with laboratory instruments and equipment.

Qualification

B.Sc. in Chemistry

(mandatory)

Experience

3-5 years

of experience in a minerals, coal, or chemical testing laboratory.
