Join us as a Technical Learning Partner, Engineering & Tech Learning Academy, Director

Working in our new Tech & Engineering Learning Academy, we'll look to you to support the development and delivery of technical learning initiatives across the business, ensuring alignment with the bank's learning strategy You'll collaborate with External Partners and suppliers the Learning CoE to design and deliver learning initiatives to build skills, knowledge and expertise in Tech and Engineering colleagues This is a chance to partner with business leaders, Technical Practice Communities, HR Business Partners, and the Learning CoE to diagnose learning requirements, deliver timely and relevant learning solutions to enable delivery of business strategic goals We're hiring at Director level

What you'll do

As we intensify the focus on growing the capabilities and skills of our Engineers and Technologists, We look to amplify and raise the bar on our Tech and Engineering technical learning strategy and deliver innovative, dynamic learning solutions.


Additionally, we're reimagining our approach to learning, transforming our tech and engineering learning proposition, including leveraging our Learning Culture by amplifying a revitalised and simplified industry leading approach to cutting edge design and delivery of Learning Curriculums.


In this key role, you'll partner with Senior Business Stakeholders to contribute to the development of the Tech and Engineering learning strategy, enabling delivery of learning solutions and implementation of technical learning strategies aligned to the business area supporting a culture of continuous learning. You'll also support the delivery and maintenance of business-specific technical learning curriculum.


Along with this, you'll:

Manage relationships with external learning providers, industry experts, and academic institutions to deliver high-quality learning solutions Create a great place to work by being a role model of our Leadership learning and encouraging a culture of learning and continuous improvement, through coaching, engagement and development of skills Support the development of structured Learning Pathways, professional qualifications or certifications, reskilling, cross-skilling, and targeted skills Bring commercial, technical and strategic insight to shape learning priorities and outcomes based on their area of functional alignment Support budget management activities for learning initiatives, including tracking spend and assisting with governance and prioritisation Contribute to tracking the return on investment and customer impact of learning initiatives, supporting communication of progress against desired outcomes Deliver learning services and products through established operating models, ensuring quality and compliance

The skills you'll need

We're looking for someone with technical knowledge and experience of applying learning within technology organisations such as Software Engineering, Testing, Data, Security, Cloud and Infrastructure Management. You'll bring an understanding of learning and development theories, models, and practices along with experience in operational and financial planning, including supporting budget management.


You'll also bring:

The ability to build relationships and manage stakeholders across complex environments Experience in supporting the development and implementation of learning strategies in large organisations Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to contribute to creative, value-adding solutions Experience in supporting the sourcing, evaluation, and management of external learning suppliers and partnerships * Experience of working in a federated approach to deliver learning content and platforms
