Description
The Local IT COE Manager - Mumbai plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of all IT operations at the site, serving as the operational link between global functional IT teams and local business needs. The role is responsible for translating global IT strategies into actionable local execution, ensuring the site operates efficiently, securely, and in full alignment with corporate technology standards.
This position leads the local IT team to deliver high-quality support, maintain infrastructure reliability, and execute assigned initiatives across enterprise platforms such as SAP, Salesforce, Intelex, and SAGE. The Local IT Manager also serves as the principal liaison for communication, coordination, and performance alignment between the site, regional, and global IT stakeholders.

Role Specific Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and People Management
Lead, mentor, and develop the local IT team to deliver excellence in service and support.
Set clear priorities and ensure alignment with workload plans defined by global functional leads.
Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team culture.
Provide coaching, performance feedback, and professional growth opportunities to build technical and leadership capability.
2. Operational Excellence and Service Delivery
Oversee day-to-day IT operations including infrastructure, end-user support, and local systems maintenance.
Ensure service delivery meets agreed SLAs, quality standards, and IT governance expectations.
Implement and reinforce best practices in IT service management (ITSM), leveraging frameworks such as
ITIL
.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, responsiveness, and user satisfaction.
3. Strategic Execution and Oversight
Manage the effective execution of assigned tasks and projects from global system owners (SAP, Salesforce, Intelex, SAGE).
Monitor progress and remove operational bottlenecks to ensure timely delivery and issue resolution.
Track performance metrics, analyze support outcomes, and prepare periodic reports for leadership review.
Anticipate future business or system requirements and proactively plan for resource allocation, skill readiness, and capacity management.
4. Communication and Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the primary point of contact for global and regional IT leads, ensuring seamless coordination and transparency.
Represent Mumbai's IT needs, opportunities, and risk considerations to regional or corporate IT leadership.
Partner with business stakeholders to understand operational priorities and ensure IT solutions support business continuity and growth.
Facilitate cross-functional communication to enhance alignment and knowledge sharing between global application teams and local operations.
