MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES



This position requires minimum of 12-15 years of development & support skills and will be monitoring the applications on daily basis the status of services, requests from users, job monitoring in production, queue management, resolution of issues within the SLA's. Escalate the issues to L3/Dev team and follow through completion and notify the uses on the status of the issues.


Candidate to be analytical, and results oriented with a passion for quickly learning newer technologies, an appreciation for highly complex applications landscape, and a desire to work in a highly collaborative agile environment as part of a global team.





Responsibilities:





*Perform troubleshooting, analysis, research, and resolution using advanced query and programming skills. Conducts root cause analysis


*Communicate with line of business and management the overall status and health of the application


*Look for areas of improvement in monitoring, application stability, and speed of determining root cause


*Test and validate system performance.


*Collaborate cross-functionally with all Operational Engineering teams to troubleshoot production and development systems, application issues


*Initiates and complies with Change Control procedures


*Ability to lead the efficiency improvement ideas and provide required leadership to the team for the same & Highly motivated, mature and eager to be part of the Systems team


*Solves problems coordinating between the team and interfacing groups/individuals


*Escalate issues to appropriate groups and track problem resolution


*Interface with clients to provide event status


*Participate in and understand the goals and direction of the organization and assist the group in meeting these goals


*Provide engineering recommendations for process improvements


*Enterprise support and escalations for level 3 Service desk and Engineering Team


*Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and knowledge base of current and new technologies for ServiceDesk and Engineering Teams


*Manage vendors and support incidents across offices using well defined SLAs


*Develop and perform routine maintenance and patching schedules in order to keep messaging environment at highest uptime



Requirements:



*Able to contribute to 1. Automation 2. Causal analysis 3. Develop shared/common solutions


*Experience working with service now and Jira


*Hands-on experience with Change Request, Incident and problem management(change management process)


*5+ years of experience working on of support of 24x7 support operations group


*8+ years of experience with DWH, ETL tools like IICS, Databricks, Python + SQL experience


*Release management experience a plus


*Willingness to work occasional non-standard hours and participate in an on-call rotation


*Nice to have ITIL Certification not mandatory


*Some experience with GitHub and Jenkins is desired


*Exhibits a strong sense of urgency for high severity incidents. Able to assess the customer impact and provide tactical solutions


*5+ years of relevant IT experience (Production Support, SDLC- Waterfall/Agile) preferred


*Ensuring successful deployment of application builds in Test and Production Environments


*Document and create new knowledge base to provide the most effective solutions to application issues


*Working on maintenance, Deployments, Releases
