About The Job:

  • Primarily responsible for Service Delivery by ensuring completion of engagements of self and the team members within the committed expectations, timeline and quality.
  • Manage and optimize the utilization of resources who have dotted line reporting.
  • To ensure continuous service improvement through new initiatives and innovations.
  • Improve the footprint in Corporate IT and Regional IT.
  • Optimize cost and resources.
  • Ensure appropriate back-up for self and team.
Essential Job Functions:
Service Delivery
  • Responsible & Accountable for delivery of Global SAP Application Development and Support services with ownership and accountability. This includes delivery of ongoing IT and/or Business Projects, apart from regular baseline support and maintenance activities.
  • Responsible for Work planning, Resource allocation and Effective reporting of the Service and the team on an ongoing basis.
  • Point of Contact and representative of the Service and team that provides the service.
  • Understanding of customer expectations and impact of service issues. Maintain good relationship and manage expectations of the Customers while being able to deliver agreed expectations.
  • Collaborative relationship with other team managers and staff, located inside as well as outside the Centre.
  • Work with Service Provider resources and Third-Party vendors, required to deliver the service where relevant.
  • A contributor in developing the local strategy and help execute the strategy for delivering a service in alignment with the global IT strategy from the Centre. Builds commitment to strategic direction.
  • Ensure distribution of knowledge within the team through proactive cross skilling and knowledge management activities.
  • Ensure upskilling by continuous learning and development opportunities to expand knowledge and competencies in the S/4 HANA and BTP technologies for self and of the team members.
People Management
  • Facilitate and develop team members to work effectively as part of the Global team
  • Responsible for retaining key talent, knowledge management and performance management of under performers.
  • Ensure alignment of team-members to the other Global & Regional teams and build a motivated, high performing team.
  • Participate in the performance reviews process with the Functional Lead and support in ensuring completion of development targets of resources who have dotted line reporting.
Processes
  • Ensure process adherence and Compliance to Linde procedures & policies.
  • Ability to think, plan and execute within defined policies and objectives.
  • Responsible for defining new processes, standards, addressing process gaps and modifying existing processes depending on the needs of the service.
  • Ability to deal with process exceptions effectively - showing flexibility, good judgement, service orientation and risk management.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, harmonization and Globalisation.

Qualifications:
  • Should have knowledge and experience in one or more of the technology areas related to the Service provided by the Centre.
  • Understanding of support, maintenance and development framework and processes followed in Linde.
  • Ability to understand, influence and support customer needs by applying previous knowledge/ experience resulting in mutually agreed plan of action.
  • Ability to manage a team of highly experienced professionals (including those working with service providers)
  • Global/ Inter-cultural Working Skills with exposure to working in a geographically dispersed environment & ability to work across multiple time zones
  • Effective coaching and mentoring skills
  • Effective technical and non-technical communication skills both written and spoken.
  • Knowledge of trends and developments in the information technology area. In depth knowledge of trends and developments in the arena of SAP S/4 HANA and BTP.
  • A degree or equivalent from a reputed institute.
  • Formal training and/or Certification related to SAP ABAP and/or UI5
  • Should have overall 10+ years of relevant IT experience working with reputed companies.
  • Experience in working with internal and external teams.
