Introduction:

• The role requires an experienced, high calibre lead with good functional and technical engineering skills / product knowledge to work with business stakeholders and key suppliers to deliver change to agreed time, quality and cost parameters.a,

• Very good knowledge of the major tools in a toolkit for the specific application product aAEURA" IBM Zseries Mainframe, COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, VSAM as well as knowledge ofa, CAMS IIa, and Hogan is vital to this role.

a, What will you be doing?

• Project delivery including design, development, testing (80%)

• Driving change to meet the needs of the Debit Cards business and the BUK Technology change agenda.
• Working with the business to ensure requirements are fit for purpose.
• Managing the impact assessment of proposed change in the integrated technology environment, in particular understanding the impact of proposed changes on all upstream and downstream systems
• Preparing High level and detailed design for projects impacting Debit Cards product area.
• Managing the delivery of change in the integrated technology environment
• Understanding the risk profile of change and ensuring that integrated testing is commensurate with that risk profile.
• Delivery of all agreed change to time, quality and cost parameters
• Ensuring that all change is designed and implemented using best practice
• Ensuring that all engineering reviews are completed and the introduction of change into the Production environment follows agreed governance processes
• Support the Application Management function with problem records and high severity incidents.

• Project Management i.e. compliance to processes (20%)

• Actively contribute to Product direction and planning initiatives
• Maintain the Product roadmap and Product Manual
• Retain accountability for the product components and interface links with other applications
• Provide product management information to the Product owner.
• Line management of 2-3 associates in the product area.

a, What weaAEURA(TM)re looking for:

• Knowledge of the major tools in a toolkit for the specific application product aAEURA" IBM Zseries mainframe, COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CAMS II and Hogan.
• Has proven project management / delivery skills, demonstrating an ability to deliver to time, cost and quality parameters with pro-active management of risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies.
• Experienced with all major development and delivery phases and activities
• At least 10 years experienced with design/building/testing of complex applications in mainframe technology and particularly in CAMS & HOGAN application.

a, Skills that will help you in the role

• Functional knowledge in Payment & Cards industry
• Has participated in the full spectrum of delivery activities on multiple development projects
• Exposure to E2E design will be an added advantage
• Experience in IMS will be an added advantage
