About the Role:
As a
Software Engineering Lead - System Architecture & Design
, you will play a pivotal role in managing, designing, and supporting enterprise applications critical to manufacturing, shipping, and receiving processes. Leveraging your expertise in Microsoft technologies and database management, you will design scalable solutions, lead development efforts, and ensure high-performing, secure applications. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with strong technical depth, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
What You'll Do:
System Architecture & Application Support:
Manage and support existing applications used in manufacturing, shipping, and receiving processes.
Development & Enhancements:
Design, develop, test, and deploy new features and enhancements for business-critical applications.
Troubleshooting:
Investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex technical issues to ensure system reliability and availability.
Collaboration:
Partner with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Optimization:
Ensure applications are optimized for
performance, scalability, and security
.
Documentation:
Maintain and update application documentation, including design specifications, workflows, and troubleshooting guides.
End-User Support:
Provide technical support and training to users, ensuring smooth adoption of new functionalities.
Leadership:
Act as a mentor for junior engineers, guiding them in best practices for software design, development, and troubleshooting.
On Your First Day, We'll Expect You to Have:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in software development and application support.
Proficiency in Microsoft technologies with expertise in VB.Net or C# programming.
Strong knowledge of SQL Server, including creating data models, stored procedures, views, and complex queries.
Excellent problem-solving skills and sharp attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
We'd Be Super Excited If You Have:
Experience with VB (Visual Basic).
Knowledge of SSIS and Entity Framework.
Experiencein developing applications that interface with equipment or machinery utilizing a PLC framework.
Familiarity with Confluence and Jira for documentation and agile project tracking.
