JOB DESCRIPTIONDiscrete event simulation:The role of Discrete Event Simulation Specialist combines knowledge about production, lo gistic, data and process modeling and analysis, and scenario analysis to reduce waste, increase efficiency, and provide solutions to current and future Magna production plants.Skill Requirements:1. Strong knowledge about Operation research subject2. Plant simu lation/Quest or similar tool knowledge and hands on experience3. Automotive manufacturing process knowledge4. Good communication a nd presentation skill.5. Industrial Engineering, Time study, Method Study Knowledge.6. Knowledge about process flows in Press shop, Weld shop, Paint shop, assembly shop would be preferred.7. Problem definition formation, flow charts preparation to define any pr oblem.8. Strong knowledge of 2D CAD, and practical experience in line and process layout, lineside presentation9. Strong knowledge and practical experience in Discrete Event Simulation software10. Knowledge of MS Excel and programming languages (VBA, C#, or Pyt hon)11. Experience with automotive assembly processes12. Attention to detail13. Reliable, self-motivated, team player14. Organiz ed, with proven ability to work autonomously and under tight time constraints15. Excellent English skills (fluent in spoken and wri tten, presentation skills)16. Eagerness to learn new software and new technical skillTools experience required:1. Plant simulatio n2. Autocad. Plant Simulation, DES, Discrete Event Simulation
