Position Overview:

As a DevOps Tech Lead, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing and enhancing our Developer Experience. You will be responsible for designing, consolidating, and implementing robust, scalable, and efficient solutions in the Development Tools space, particularly Gitlab, Nexus, Artifactory and the HashiCorp tool suite (Vault / Terraform Enterprise). As the technical lead, you will help the team grow by implementing great engineering practices.

Responsibilities:

1. Product Management:

- Define the strategy and maintain the roadmap for your domain

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and prioritise features

2. Infrastructure Management:

- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of large-scale enterprise tools.

- Ensure the availability, scalability, and performance of the infrastructure meet business requirements.

3. Toolchain Management:

- Evaluate, select, and implement DevOps tools that streamline development, testing, and deployment processes.

- Optimize and manage the toolchain, including CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, and container orchestration.

4. Automation:

- Drive automation efforts to increase efficiency and reduce manual intervention in deployment and maintenance processes.

- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles for provisioning and managing infrastructure resources.

5. Monitoring and Security:

- Implement robust monitoring and alerting systems to ensure the health and performance of the infrastructure.

- Work closely with security teams to implement and maintain best practices for securing your services.

6. Collaboration and Communication:

- Foster collaboration and effective communication within the DevOps team and with other departments.

- Participate in regular status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Proven experience (7 years) as a DevOps Engineer and/or DevOps architect.

- Hands-on experience with industry-leading DevOps tools (e.g., GitLab, Artifactory, Terraform Enterprise, Docker, Kubernetes).

- Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).

- Solid understanding of cloud computing platforms (AWS or Azure).

- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform).

- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

- Strong knowledge of security best practices in a DevSecOps environment.
