Role Profile: The Support Lead - Application Management is responsible for offshore technical leadership of LSEG Post Trade Stellar Production Support. This role is associated with the management of the L2 Support team responsible for the testing, build and implementation of releases and also any independent infrastructure and environment support. Working in the wider Application Support Team - the focus will be on delivering the change programme across all lifecycles from Dev, Test, UAT to Member Test and Production environments. A production focused approach will be required with resilience, operational readiness, performance and production support being at the forefront of delivery. Would be required to work on Morning, Day or Night shift based on UK time according to the monthly roster. Out of hours support overnight and across weekends and Bank Holidays is frequently needed. Should be able to provide on-call support. Strong business knowledge is required for working with business teams during investigations. They need to be subject matter experts in the underlying technologies used by the applications. They may be required to provide detailed technical support for developers producing bug fixes & new releases of these applications. Must be self-motivating leader with people management skills and should have the ability to prioritize workload amongst the team. Key Responsibilities Support of the LSEG Post Trade application within Stellar. Support of a critical element of the London financial infrastructure. Resolve Incidents and Problems Monitor ServiceNow for Incidents and Problems Analyse problems and decide on suitable resolutions Apply resolutions following the Post Trade Change Management procedure Report status to relevant business and IT teams Record progress of incident resolution in ServiceNow Follow documented incident management procedures Bug fixes and enhancements to Post Trade products Design solutions for longer term fixes for application bugs and minor functionality enhancement requests Implement application fixes Update code repository with source code changes where necessary Update relevant WIKI/ documentation with changes Co-ordinate the Release process for new releases Work to the ITIL standard following Post Trade policies Building and supporting environments Configuring monitoring and logging software (Datadog preferably) on all resources of the application service Maintain working relationship with business teams and business management Should be willing to work on Morning, Day or Night shift based on UK time according to the monthly roster Out of hours support / On-call support Be available for overnight support of production services to ensure successful completion of processing Respond to overnight calls and deal with issues Support weekend releases and maintenance work Consultancy Provide consultancy during bug fixes, design and implementation Act as subject matter experts for the application and the relevant business domain Assist in project related work Carry out requirements as defined by project team Quality check potential changes Review development release packages prior to production deployment Provide benefit of experience in the business area and application DR, Daily KRI, Monthly Service Review Participate in Production out of hours activities such as Disaster Recovery exercises Work with Service management and contribute in monthly service review with Stakeholders Work with Op Risk team to publish daily KRI to Stakeholders General Leadership responsibilities: Significant stakeholder management responsibilities with technical teams, business teams. Management of shifts to ensure 24x5 onsite cover and 24x7 cover with on-call support. Own the incident management process and resolution of incidents raised within the production from offshore. Provide in-depth analysis in areas such as incident trends, mean time to recover and any other area where improvements need to be identified and remediated. Ensure the teams are meeting their respective SLAs and OLAs via regular reviews and ensure that any identified improvement steps are being progressed to meet agreed delivery dates Overseeing and managing service operations throughout its complete lifecycle. Ensure that all processes and documentation are adequate and effective to meet support and audit requirements. Provide weekly status reporting to the Stakeholders. To ensure effective, pro-active monitoring and management is in place for systems. Ensure the regular disaster recovery tests are carried out by the teams and that they meet the required standards/conditions Ensure that the offshore team are adequately trained to support the Technology & Operations infrastructure. Enhance people and capability build up responsibility. Service improvements SPOC for business. PERSON SPECIFICATION Education: Degree educated, preferably in a technical discipline Required skills and experience Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong understanding of product development lifecycle and methodologies Good knowledge of DevOps and its related Technologies : CI/CD , Jenkins , Ansible, Kafka Good knowledge of AWS Cloud Technologies ( EC2, EBS, RDS, VPC, Aurora, MSK, ALB, ECR) Knowledge of GCP Anthos, Kong API Gateway Good UNIX/Linux System Administration skills Good SQL Coding skills ( Oracle SQL ) Good Scripting skills ( Shell scripting, Python ) Experience in Configuring and monitoring using DataDog Exposure to XML Experience with IBM MQ ( Preferred ) Knowledge of Network Diagnostics & Web Servers Hands-on in version control repository/Deployment (Ideally bitbucket, GitLab, Docker, Terraform, Terragrunt, Flyway, Liquibase) Experience in Service Now Person Specification Good communication skills Must have experience in managing technical team Willing to adopt Hybrid working mode and work in Bangalore Office Good to have ITIL or AWS certification Experience in Financial or an investment banking environment or clearing service environment Knowledge of Trade Life Cycle services Familiarity with financial products and financial terms Excellent analytical skills, Attention to Detail and problem-solving abilities. Strong technical background in the core technologies with multiple years of experience. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to IT and business teams and to senior management Strong negotiation / influencing skills able to overcome resistance and reach consensus and compromise in order to attain the required objective.
