Requirements
Role and Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and high-performance backend services using Node.js.

• Drive technical architecture and design decisions to meet functional and non-functional requirements.

• Manage a team of backend developers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and code reviews.

• Develop and optimize database schemas and queries across Cosmos DB/Cassandra or PostgreSQL.

• Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

• Define and enforce best practices in code quality, performance, testing, and security.

• Work with Scrum Master for the planning and execution of sprints in an Agile/Scrum environment.

• Monitor backend services for reliability, availability, and performance; troubleshoot and resolve production issues.

• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and growing the backend development team.

Skills & Competencies:

• Deep knowledge of Node.js and backend frameworks (e.g., NestJS, Express).

• Hands-on experience designing and optimizing schemas in PostgreSQL or Cosmos DB/Cassandra. o Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs, secure services.

• Knowledge of data privacy and insurance regulatory compliance (e.g., KYC, PII handling).

• Strong understanding of authentication/authorization mechanisms (OAuth 2.0, JWT).

• Proficiency in version control (Git), CI/CD, cloud platforms (Azure),

• Understanding of containerization tools (Docker) and orchestrators (Kubernetes is a plus).

• Excellent problem-solving skills, code debugging abilities, and attention to detail.

• Strong leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills.
