Job Summary:

The

Technical Lab Assistant

will be responsible for managing and maintaining the technical training labs in COLTE. This includes overseeing

driving simulators, forklift simulators, AR/VR training modules for warehouse operations, supply chain labs, battery-operated pallet trucks (BOPT), and computer labs.

The role requires assisting instructors and students in using lab equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring the smooth functioning of all training tools and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lab Operations & Equipment Management

Set up, operate, and maintain

driving simulators, forklift simulators, and AR/VR training systems

for warehouse and logistics training. Ensure all

lab equipment, BOPT, and other training tools

are in working condition and report any malfunctions. Conduct regular

calibration and preventive maintenance

of technical training equipment. Maintain an inventory of

hardware, software, and consumables

required for lab operations.

2. Technical Support & Troubleshooting

Assist students and trainers in operating

simulators, AR/VR modules, and other training tools

effectively. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in

computer labs and technical equipment.

Coordinate with vendors and service providers for

equipment repairs and upgrades.

3. Training Support & Student Assistance

Guide students in

basic troubleshooting and proper usage of training equipment.

Provide

demonstrations

of logistics simulation tools and assist trainers during lab sessions. Monitor student performance in

simulator-based training

and maintain usage records.

4. Safety & Compliance

Ensure

safety protocols

are followed in all lab activities. Conduct

regular safety checks

on equipment such as

BOPT and forklifts.

Comply with

institutional and industry standards

for handling logistics training tools.

5. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain

logs of equipment usage, maintenance records, and issue reports.

Assist in developing

user manuals, training guides, and SOPs

for lab operations. Generate reports on

equipment performance, student engagement, and lab utilization.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Education & Certifications:

Diploma in

Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Logistics, or a related field.

Certification or experience in

simulator operations, AR/VR technology, or warehouse automation tools

is an advantage.

Technical Skills:

Experience with

driving simulators, forklift simulators, BOPT, and AR/VR training modules.

Knowledge of

warehouse operations, supply chain processes, and logistics technology.

Proficiency in

computer hardware/software troubleshooting and networking basics.

Soft Skills:

Strong

problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Good

communication and interpersonal skills

to assist students and trainers. Ability to

work independently

and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Preferred Experience:

1-3 years of experience

in a

technical lab, logistics training center, or vocational institute.

Hands-on experience with

warehouse automation tools, material handling equipment, and logistics software.

Compensation: Based on qualifications and experience
