JOB BRIEF:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Technical Head to lead and manage our Concrete Testing Laboratory. The role involves overseeing all lab operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, supervising technical staff, and maintaining accuracy and reliability in all test results. The candidate will be responsible for quality assurance, client coordination, and the continuous improvement of laboratory processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

oLead and supervise day-to-day operations of the concrete/material testing laboratory.

oEnsure all tests (concrete, cement, aggregates, soil, admixtures, etc.) are performed as per IS, ASTM, and other relevant standards.

oReview, verify, and approve test reports before submission to clients.

oMonitor calibration and maintenance of all testing equipment and instruments.

oDevelop, implement, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for testing.

oTrain, mentor, and supervise laboratory staff and technicians.

oEnsure compliance with NABL/ISO standards and assist in maintaining accreditations.

oCoordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors regarding test requirements and results.

oPrepare and maintain technical documentation, records, and quality manuals.

oDrive process improvements, cost efficiency, and innovation in laboratory

QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS

oBachelor's/Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Materials Science.

oProven experience in concrete/material testing (4-5 years, with supervisory/managerial experience).

oStrong knowledge of IS, ASTM, BS, and international codes for construction material testing.

oHands-on expertise in lab equipment and test methods.

oExcellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

oAbility to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

oFamiliarity with NABL/ISO/quality management systems is an added advantage.
